We’ve got answers!
Do you take insurance?
At Kaleidoscope, we understand you live a busy life and we take your time seriously. You will receive individualized expert level treatment from a physical therapist in the comfort of your own home, at a time that is convenient for you. You will never work with an aide or tech. This allows us to provide you with the best possible physical therapy that is tailored to your goals. In order to provide you with this level of quality service, we do not participate with any insurance provider plans.
What does an initial evaluation include?
An initial evaluation with your physical therapist will be an overall assessment of your primary impairment. Your physical therapist will review your past medical history, spend time hearing from you about why you are seeking PT and what your goals for physical therapy are. They will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your strength/mobility/flexibility and overall movement patterns. Your PT will then explain their findings and determine the best course of treatment for you in order to meet your goals. The initial evaluation will also include treatment and you will obtain an individualized home exercise program for you to perform independently. We tailor our treatment plans to address your needs and goals.
Why physical therapy?
Through our individualized, one-on-one, hands on physical therapy approach we address your pain and limitations using the most up to date research and modalities. Treatment may include, manual therapy, dry needling, cup therapy or strength/stability/stretching exercises that are tailored to address your individual needs. We understand all patients are different and that is why we take pride in understanding you as not only a patient but as a human. At Kaleidoscope, we believe it is important for us to empower our patients to take control of their health by giving you exercises that are appropriate for you.
Is physical therapy “torture”?
We are here to help you meet your goals so you can return to living your best life. We are here to help you decrease your pain and improve your overall function. At times, physical therapy may increase your pain in order to improve areas that may not be moving efficiently or are limited in range of motion. You may also be sore after a PT session but it should only last a day or two. Our goal is to move you from a life of pain to a life of freedom.
What types of patients do you treat?
We treat patients 8 y/o and older who are experiencing any type of orthopedic pain, sports injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, patients with balance issues, acute and chronic pain, athletes, and patients with Parkinson’s disease.
What should I wear to my PT session?
Gym clothes is best.
Do you treat patients with Parkinson’s Disease?
Yes, we absolutely love treating this population. We use an approach called PWR!, that helps you mitigate your symptoms and rebuild your overall mobility and function. We recommend that you start this specialized program sooner rather than later.
